The typical mortgage payment has doubled, in a short amount of time, and is much higher than prior cycle peaks.
To assume this won’t materially alter demand for housing, and downstream, to sales and margins for homebuilders and the building product suppliers, is bold.
Especially relevant to those at high valuations (or very low yields). To our mind, JHX is materially over-earning, and vulnerable to a downturn in expectations.
